A PEMF session takes about 60 minutes, and some run longer. It has two parts: 10 minutes on a full body mat, then time with a pillow pad or a hand-held probe. You stay fully clothed throughout.
The first part is 10 minutes on a full body mat
You lie down on the mat and stay there for 10 minutes. The mat gives off a pulsed magnetic field between 0.5 Hz and 15 Hz. Hz means cycles per second. The mat uses a triple saw-tooth waveform.
The second part uses a pillow pad or the iMRS probe
The second part applies the field to a specific area instead of the whole body. For the pillow pad, you sit on a chair and lean back against it. The iMRS probe, sometimes called a wand, is held to the chosen area. Both use a square-tooth waveform, where the mat uses the triple saw-tooth.
